Hi! I’m Katharine and I’m a wedding filmmaker, based in London.
If you’re getting married - the biggest congratulations. You have so much fun ahead! I’d love to film your day and make a film you’ll love and treasure forever.
I started filming weddings when I was engaged and finding it hard to find a videographer who would capture the day in a relaxed way and make a documentary-style film that actually looked like the day, wasn’t cheesy, and didn’t have loads of slow-mo shots of my shoes (which personally I didn’t care about, but maybe that’s because I hate my feet. But that’s a conversation for another time.)
I’d worked as a TV producer for nine years and wanted to see my wedding day as it actually was. I wanted to see my friends and family smile and laugh, see their hilarious dance moves, and hear their chatter and laughter. So that’s what I focus on - the unposed, authentic moments.
I live in East Dulwich in London with my husband, Nick, and our naughty wire-haired dachshund, Bobbie, who sleeps on my lap while I edit.
My promise to you:
I am discreet - I use minimal equipment and capture the day as it happens, blending into the crowd. A lot of guests at a wedding ask me if I am one too!
I capture real moments. I don’t do cheesy! My background is in documentaries, so I’m all about capturing real moments that happen organically. I don’t ask you to do awkward poses and my films have a fly-on-the-wall feel.
I am flexible - I will always go the extra mile where possible to make your perfect film, whether that’s recording messages from important people who can’t travel for the day or arriving early to capture pre-wedding activities (yes, I’ve arrived at 7am before to capture a groom and his ushers hit their first ball on the golf course!). All my films are bespoke and I spend a lot of time before the wedding, on the wedding day, and in the edit, thinking about what’s most important to you.
I can balance a gin & tonic on my head but I won’t do it at your wedding.
